Tech — Website Development

Fast on a mid-range phone.

Most of your visitors are on a three-year-old Android on a patchy connection. That is the device we build for, and the one we test on.

The problem

Why this usually goes wrong.

The website that wins the pitch is rendered on a designer's laptop. The website that loses the customer is loaded on a mid-range phone in a lift.

We set a performance budget before design starts and hold it. If a hero animation costs 400KB, it has to earn 400KB, and usually it does not.

What's included

Everything in the engagement.

No line items discovered halfway through. This is the scope, written down before we start.

01

UX & information architecture

What pages exist, what each is for, and the path from landing to enquiry.

02

Interface design

Designed against the real content, on real breakpoints, with real edge cases.

03

Front-end build

Hand-built, semantic and accessible. Core Web Vitals treated as a requirement.

04

CMS setup

Your team edits content without raising a ticket, within a structure that cannot be broken.

05

Analytics & tracking

Conversion tracking, events and CRM handoff configured before launch, not after.

06

Launch & care

Redirects, QA, monitoring, and an optional care plan for updates and security.

Questions

Answered before you ask.

WordPress or custom?
Whichever suits the job. WordPress when your team needs to publish frequently; a static or custom build when speed and control matter more. We recommend, you decide, and we explain the trade-off honestly.
How long does a website take?
Eight to fourteen weeks for a typical business site, driven far more by content readiness than by build time. We will tell you where the real critical path is.
Who owns the code?
You do — repository, hosting and domain all in your name from day one.
Do you handle hosting?
We will set it up in your account and can manage it under a care plan. We do not resell hosting or hold your site hostage.
Is accessibility included?
Yes, to WCAG 2.2 AA as standard. It is a legal requirement in several of the markets our clients sell into and it is simply better work.
