Craft — Video & Motion

Video made for the first three seconds.

A film that works in a boardroom and dies in a feed is not two problems, it is one brief written badly. We plan the cut-downs before we plan the shoot.

The problem

Why this usually goes wrong.

Most video budgets are spent on one hero film that gets used twice. Meanwhile the paid team needs thirty variations a quarter and ends up making them badly on a phone.

We shoot for the whole system: hero, cut-downs, verticals, statics and stills, all planned into one shoot day rather than commissioned separately at four times the cost.

What's included

Everything in the engagement.

No line items discovered halfway through. This is the scope, written down before we start.

01

Concept & script

Written to the media plan, so the hook lands before the viewer can scroll.

02

Production

Direction, crew, location, talent and equipment — managed end to end.

03

Post-production

Edit, grade, sound design, subtitles and versioning for every placement.

04

Motion graphics

Explainers, data animation, titles and brand motion systems.

05

Performance edits

Multiple hooks and lengths built for testing, not one cut with a shortened intro.

06

Photography on the day

Stills captured alongside video so the campaign has a full asset set.

What you get

Deliverables, itemised.

  • Script and storyboard
  • Hero film in required lengths
  • Vertical and square cut-downs
  • Subtitled and silent-viewing versions
  • Stills library
  • Editable project files and raw footage
How it runs

Four phases, dated.

01

Plan

Concept, script and — critically — the full deliverables list, agreed before a camera is booked.

02

Shoot

One efficient production day covering hero, cut-downs and stills.

03

Post

Edit, grade, sound, subtitle and version for every placement in the media plan.

04

Test

Hooks tested in paid; the winners inform the next shoot.

Questions

Answered before you ask.

How much does a video cost?
It depends almost entirely on crew, talent and location rather than edit time. We quote a fixed fee against a fixed deliverables list, and we will tell you where the money is actually going.
Can you work with footage we already have?
Yes. Re-editing an existing shoot into performance variants is often the highest-return video work available to a brand.
Do you handle talent and licensing?
Yes, including usage terms. We will flag any licence that expires so you are not running an ad you no longer have the rights to.
Do we get the raw footage?
Yes. Raw footage and project files are handed over at the end of the project.
